Jose Cortez

Jose Cortez has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. Jose started their career in 1997 as an IT Support Specialist at Information Technology Outsourcing Support, C.A., where they resolved technical issues related to telephony, workstations, and printers. Jose also managed the purchasing of computer parts and maintenance contracts.

In 2004, Jose became the IT Coordinator at DuPont Quimica de Venezuela, C.A., responsible for administering the telecommunications and server platform for Venezuela and Ecuador. Jose implemented security policies, contingency plans, and defined technical standards for information systems in Latin America.

Jose then worked as an Information Technology Specialist at Copex IT Venezuela, C.A., where they administered the telecommunications and server platform for DuPont Corporation in Venezuela and Ecuador. Jose collaborated with regional teams to implement technology changes.

From 2010 to 2016, Jose held the position of Coordinator of Infrastructure and Telecommunications at Pinturas International, C.A. Jose ensured the operation and availability of IT services and executed the budget for the corporation's technology platform.

In 2010, Jose also briefly served as the Head of the Department of Computing at the Secretaria de Seguridad Ciudadana del Estado Carabobo, where they coordinated and managed computing services and maintained the technological infrastructure.

In 2016, Jose became an Information Technology Specialist at Corporacion Elisoft PC, C.A., where they collaborated with project managers to prepare action plans, performed coordinating tasks, and maintained project documentation.

Currently, Jose is working as a Data Center Technician at eStruxture Data Centers, where they ensure physical and remote security protocols are followed, documents changes and incidents, and reports any issues to the facility manager.

Jose Cortez completed a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Instituto Universitario Politecnico Santiago Mariño from 1998 to 2003. Jose then pursued further education at Universidad Tecnológica del Centro (UNITEC) from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a Certificate of advanced studies in management with a focus on Information Technology. In addition, Jose undertook another certificate program in management at UNITEC from 2006 to 2009.

Furthermore, Jose has obtained a certification in the Six Sigma Training Program for Green Belt Certification from DuPont Co. in December 2006.
