Paula López has a diverse and extensive work experience in the logistics industry. Paula started their career as an Operations Intern at Fernando Flores Valencia SL in 2008. Paula then worked as a Pricing Specialist at Operinter from 2011 to 2013, where they negotiated freight rates and maintained relationships with overseas agents. Subsequently, they joined Shipco Transport as an Import Specialist from 2013 to 2014, where they handled control tower operations for air shipments. Paula then moved to UTi Worldwide (DSV A/S) as a Customer Relations Specialist from 2014 to 2015, where they managed air shipments globally for major multinational companies.

In 2015, Paula joined cardinalmaritime.com as an Office & Key Account Manager. In this role, they mentored and supervised the operations team, developed internal operational systems, and maintained relationships with clients. Paula also played a role in cross-trade projects due to their multilingual skills.

In 2019, Paula joined ESW as a Global Logistics Senior Sourcing Specialist. Paula was responsible for sourcing and solutions for the largest retailer in the organization, as well as managing carrier and vendor relationships. Paula also led the procurement process, negotiated contractual agreements, and prepared customized rate proposals and supply chain solutions.

Paula quickly progressed within ESW and took on the role of Global Logistics Solutions Manager in 2021. In this position, they managed and mentored a team of sourcing specialists and analysts, explored new market verticals, and proactively sought financial gain and cost improvement. Paula also presented findings and recommendations to the management board and continuously updated market trends and services.

Most recently, Paula became the Head of Global Logistics Sourcing at ESW in 2022. In this role, they are responsible for managing a global sourcing team and overseeing end-to-end global logistics negotiations and agreements. Paula also handles P&L management, presents recommendations to the board, and ensures client-specific information is kept up to date.

Paula López has a strong background in logistics, materials, and supply chain management. In 2013, they pursued a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completing the program remotely until 2016. Prior to that, they attended IES Conselleria from 2007 to 2010, obtaining a degree in International trade, Freight Forwarding & Supply Chain. In 2021, they also completed a Dangerous Goods Course at the Irish Aviation Authority.
