David Pearson

David Pearson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware and electrical engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Hardware Engineering at Eta Compute since September 2023, David previously held the position of Director of Electrical Engineering at Neato Robotics, where responsibilities included managing the production release of embedded electronics for household cleaning robots. At Ciena, David acted as Director of Hardware Engineering, overseeing the development of routing and switching hardware platforms and scaling the engineering team. David also served as the Director of Lamp Engineering at Soraa, leading the development and release of LED lighting products. Early in career, David was the Vice President of Engineering at Wrightspeed Inc, where engineering operations were launched for the start-up. David holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Caltech and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
