Rick Zhu

Rick Zhu has over 20 years of professional experience in the electrical engineering field. Rick began their career in 1992 as an Electrical Engineer and Master's Candidate at NEDI Institute. Rick then went on to work as a High Speed Hardware Designer at Nortel Networks in 2000. In 2004, they joined RF Integrated Corporation as a Senior RF Engineer. From 2006 to 2008, they worked as a Principal Electrical Engineer at M/A-COM, where they were involved in driver amplifier and power FET development for WiMAX, TD-SCDMA and other applications, as well as Base station LNA development and Millimeter wave MMIC amplifiers IP development with pHEMT technology. From 2008 to 2012, they worked in the same role at Skyworks, where they were responsible for 802. 11ac Linear PA design for front-end module (FEM) intended for mobile/portable 802. 11ac application and systems, as well as WLAN ET (Envelope Tracking) 802. 11ac development. Since 2019, they have been working as a Principal Electrical Engineer at Eta Wireless, Inc.

Rick Zhu attended Fudan University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a B.Sc. in Semiconductor Physics. Rick then attended NEDI from 1996 to 1999, where they earned an MSEE in Microwave Electronics in Electrical Engineering. Finally, they attended Carleton University from 2000 to 2001, although no degree or field of study were specified.
