Janak Patel

Janak Patel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Janak started their career at Ford Motor Company as a Product Engineer and later worked at Visteon Corporation as a Lead Software Engineer and then as a Software Architect. At Visteon, they led a team of software architects to develop the next generation of reusable software architecture for multimedia products. Janak then worked at Freescale as a Senior Software Engineer before joining Terumo Cardiovascular Systems as a Principal Software Engineer, where they led a team to successfully design and test software for a centrifugal bypass system.

In 2006, Janak Patel became a Business Owner and Principal Owner of Great Clips Franchise locations. Janak grew this side business from zero to six hair salons, overseeing various responsibilities such as real estate research, salon construction, team development, marketing, operations, finance, and accounting.

Since 2012, Janak has been the Head of Embedded Software Solutions at ETAS, North America. Janak was hired to start a new business unit and successfully grew the team of embedded software engineers to over 20. Janak also grew ETAS's AUTOSAR solutions business from zero to a multi-million dollar business. Janak played a key role in engaging strategic partnerships with both Tier 1s and OEMs. Janak provided consulting and engineering services in areas such as AUTOSAR support, embedded software development, software architecture development, functional safety, embedded security, and AUTOSAR migration and training support.

Janak Patel has exhibited strong leadership skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and expertise in software development throughout their career.

Janak Patel earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Wayne State University, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. Janak later pursued a Master's degree in the same field at Wayne State University from 1994 to 1996. Prior to their college education, Janak attended Canton High School from 1988 to 1991.
