Serra Balls is a Partner and Co-Founder at Eterna Partners. Prior to this, they were Group Head of Communications at ICAP from July 2012 to July 2016. Before that, they were Head of Communications, Financial Markets, EMEA at Bank of New York Mellon from December 2008 to July 2012. Earlier in their career, they were Director, Corporate Communications at Lehman Brothers from October 2004 to November 2008.
Serra Balls attended The Lady Eleanor Holles School in Hampton, Middlesex. Serra then studied economics and Russian language history and government at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). After obtaining their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Turkish and Ottoman Studies from SOAS University of London, they completed a Gem-A Level 5 Diploma in Gem Diamond from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.
