Alberto Ballesteros is a seasoned researcher and educator with a focus on privacy, confidentiality, and security in Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs). Currently serving as a researcher at Universidad de Alcalá since April 2018, Alberto also teaches courses on blockchain and cybersecurity at various institutions, including Universidad Camilo José Cela and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. As meetup co-organizer for Ethereum Spain, Alberto actively engages with the blockchain community. Alberto's prior experience includes research at Universitat de Girona and cybersecurity roles at BBVA and Iberdrola. Alberto is pursuing a PhD in Information and Knowledge Engineering at Universidad de Alcalá, complemented by a master's degree in ICT Security and a bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Technologies from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
