ASIC Manager/Sr. Manager (title based on experience)

Job Description:  

  • Hands-on chip lead responsible for all aspects of the SoC from definition, implementation, tape out, to bring-up.
  • Technically contributes as well as leads a matrixed cross-functional team of digital, analog, DFT, physical design, software, and lab resources through development and execution.
  • You will contribute to a positive, trusting, and cohesive working environment based on integrity and strong work ethics.


Key Qualifications

  • BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 10+ years combined of ASIC hands-on design and leadership experience
  • Proven track record with leading the development of complex SoCs
  • Strong understanding of digital design fundamentals and methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of Verilog/System Verilog and simulation tools.
  • Broad understanding of the whole ASIC cross-functional flow
  • Ability to hire and lead teams
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively



Additional Success Factors
Experience in any of the following areas:

  • Mixed signal SoCs
  • Networking (Ethernet MAC, PHY, Switching, TCP/IP, security, PCIe and other industry standard protocols)
  • Video standards, protocols, processing
  • Digital signal processing filters
  • IP integration (SerDes, controllers, processors, etc.)
  • Perl, TCL, C/C++, Make

Salary Range:

  • The actual offered base salary for U.S. locations will vary depending on factors such as work location, individual qualifications, education, specializations, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role will be at or near the top half of the range provided, but the decision will be dependent on the factors of each individual case. The salary range for this position is $150,000 – $250,000. The compensation package will also include incentive compensation in the form of pre-IPO ISO options, in addition to base salary and a full range of medical and other benefits.
