Saied Benyamin has a diverse range of work experience spanning several decades. Saied began their career as a Hardware Development Engineer at the Center for Astrophysics and Space Sciences in 1984. From 1985 to 1990, they worked as a Senior Electronics Design Engineer at Digivision, where they were responsible for designing and implementing hardware and firmware for digital signal and image processing products.
In 1991, Saied moved to S&R Tech as a Hardware Engineer, leading the design and implementation of electronics for a laser printer. Saied designed and implemented a Motorola 68000 bus controller and data processor using Xilinx FPGA.
From 1992 to 1994, Saied worked as a Project Engineer at Fisons Instruments, where they specialized in VME based microanalysis systems. Saied designed and implemented various digital components using DSP and Xilinx FPGA.
Saied joined Tekelec in 1994 as a Project Engineer, focusing on digital design for network test load modules. Saied successfully designed and implemented several protocol analyzers using FPGA technology.
In 1996, Saied began working at Lucent Technologies as a Senior Technical Manager. Saied held this role until 2001, managing various technical teams.
From 2001 to 2005, Saied served as a Senior Technical Manager at Big Bear Networks, a startup company. Saied started a digital design division and oversaw the delivery of digital sections of high-speed chips.
In 2005, Saied joined Ixia Communications as a Director of Product Development. Saied was responsible for managing the delivery of platform team products and received recognition for introducing a new family of efficient high port count 10G modules. Saied worked at Ixia Communications until August 2014.
After leaving Ixia Communications, Saied joined Aquantia, where they initially served as an Architect from September 2014 to May 2019. Saied then became the Chief Architect for Automotive Products at Aquantia from October 2018 to May 2019.
Currently, Saied holds the position of Vice President of Systems Engineering at Ethernovia starting from June 2019.
Saied Benyamin attended UC San Diego from 1981 to 1984, where they pursued a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
