Salem A. is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in program management and community engagement. Currently serving as a Program Officer for Preferred Communities at the Ethiopian Community Development Council, Inc. since August 2023, Salem A. co-founded the Nahana Lowti-Our Change Foundation, focusing on educational success for underserved children in Ethiopia. Previous roles include consulting for Save the Children UK and coordinating civic engagement at the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle. Salem A. has also held various positions at the University of Washington, including Program Assistant for the Mary Gates Endowment.
