Aderajew Mekonnen Girmay holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Water and Public Health from Addis Ababa University, where studies were completed in July 2020. Prior to this, Aderajew earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of Gondar in 2015. Aderajew currently serves as Lead Public Health Researcher at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute since November 2020, with previous roles as Senior Researcher and Researcher. From June 2017 to November 2020, Aderajew worked as a Public Health Specialist at Addis Ababa University. Earlier in the career, Aderajew held positions as Head of Health Office and Urban Health Extension Program Supervisor at Addis Ababa Gullele sub-city from October 2009 to December 2013.
