Shimelis Getahun

Shimelis Getahun currently serves as a Health and WASH project coordinator at the Ethiopian Red Cross Society, responsible for improving health infrastructure, managing ambulance services, and coordinating sanitation initiatives. Previously, Shimelis worked as a Health and WASH project officer as a freelancer and held roles with the Pharo Foundation as a community health facilitator and with the Ministry of Health (MOH) in various capacities, including health promotion and regulatory oversight. Educational qualifications include pursuing a Master's degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Assosa University, alongside a BSc in Environmental Health Science and Technology from Jimma University and a Diploma in Nurse Midwifery from Awasa Health Science College.
