Russ Carlson

Russ Carlson has held a variety of positions in the technology industry since 1984. Russ began their career at IBM Global Services as a Systems Engineering Manager. Russ then moved to KPMG as a Manager in 1989. In 1993, they joined Manugistics as a Regional VP-Sales. In 2000, they became VP-Sales at NewView Technologies. In 2002, they were appointed President of Blackboard. In 2009, they became CEO of Overture Technologies, where they managed www.overturecorp.com. In 2011, they were appointed EVP-Enterprise Solutions at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. In 2021, they became President of both ETHIX360 and ethix360.com. Most recently, in 2014, they became Owner & President of Charles S. Smith & Associates, a 50-year-old distributor of beverage dispensing equipment, and launched a new service to help customers get their equipment back in service quickly and effectively.

Russ Carlson attended W.P. Davidson from 1972 to 1976 and then Taylor University from 1976 to 1980, where they earned a BS in Business/Computer Science.
