Kate Hewson

Kate Hewson currently serves as the Chief Education Officer at Ethos Academy Trust since September 2025. Prior to this role, Kate was the Director of School Improvement at Consilium Academies from January 2020 to September 2025, where responsibility included leading the school improvement team. Earlier experience includes serving as an Education Adviser for Curriculum, Assessment, and Personal Development and Assistant Head Teacher at The Academy of St. Francis of Assisi, focusing on assessment and curriculum development, particularly for students with high prior attainment. Kate has held various leadership positions in curriculum management and faculty leadership, including a role as Interim Lead of the Social Sciences Faculty at North Liverpool Academy. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Liverpool and multiple National Professional Qualifications in Leadership.
