James Hummer

James Hummer is the current Head of Consumer Sales at Ethos Life. Prior to this, they were the SVP Operations and Finance at Bold Business from January 2018 to December 2021. Before that, they were the Director of Network Contracting at Oscar Health from September 2014 to January 2018, where they built the national contracting organization responsible for Oscar’s first directly contracted network of doctors and medical facilities.

Hummer has also been a founder, product manager, strategy and business development consultant, and sales engineer at various other companies throughout their career. James founded Pet Step in January 2013 and ran it until December 2015. James then served as a product manager at HealthSpot from January 2011 to December 2013. Additionally, they worked as a consultant for startup and growth stage companies from January 2014 to December 2018. Finally, they were a sales engineer at Bush Sales from January 2009 to December 2010.

James Hummer's educational career includes a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

James Hummer reports to Erin Lantz, Chief Revenue Officer. They are on a team with Dan Brittingham - Director of Revenue Operations, Strategy, Ashish Bhatnagar - Head of Revenue Operations and Strategy, and Nick Fitzer - VP, Sales.
