Craig Allchin

Design Director at Ethos Urban

Craig Allchin has extensive work experience in the field of urban design and planning. Craig is currently working as the Design Director at Ethos Urban since October 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Adjunct Professor of Architecture at the University of Technology Sydney since 2009. From 1991 onwards, they operated their own firm called Six Degrees Urban where they specialized in urban strategy, design, and planning. During this time, they also worked as a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania and was involved in various projects related to urban revitalization, metropolitan strategies, and masterplanning in China. Craig also served as a Consultant and Director of Urban Design at the NSW Department of Planning from 2004 to 2009. Craig was also a Principal Urban Design at Urbis from 2001 to 2004.

Craig Allchin has a strong educational background in the field of architecture and urban planning. In 1984, they enrolled at the University of Melbourne, where they pursued a Bachelor of Architecture degree. Craig completed their studies in 1989. Following this, in 2009, they joined the University of Sydney as an MPhil candidate, focusing on research in urban planning possibilities for Sydney. Their tenure at the university lasted until 2012.
