Mireia Orra De Salsas has diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles.
Starting in 2017, they began their journey at AIESEC, where they held various positions such as Customer Support Executive, Project Coordinator, Local Product Development Manager, and Agenda Manager for the YouthSpeak Forum 2019. During their time at AIESEC, they managed teams, coordinated outgoing global volunteer programs, and created promotional materials.
In 2017, they also worked at ELSA as a Local Community Manager. In this role, they developed marketing campaigns, managed social media platforms, created websites using WordPress, and represented the local committee in conferences.
Moving on to 2019, Mireia worked at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, where they provided legal assistance to victims of human trafficking, torture, and femicides. Mireia also contributed to an Amicus Curiae presented to the Supreme Court of Mexico and conducted interviews and reports on sexual exploitation.
In the same year, they joined Ashoka, initially as a Network Manager Intern, where they focused on the systematization of partnerships, positioning Ashoka in Barcelona, and coordinating logistics for the European Changemaker Summit. Mireia then became a Partnership Management Intern, responsible for partnership strategies, and subsequently worked as a Fellowship and Venture Coordinator, involving and supporting social entrepreneurs in Spain.
In 2020, Mireia became the Director of Joves Pel Futur Catalunya, an initiative under Talento para el Futuro that empowers young people in Catalonia to participate actively in decision-making processes.
Currently, they are the Policy, Community & Strategic Litigation Head at Eticas, a company specializing in policy tools for addressing challenges in the digital age. In their role, Mireia coordinates initiatives, develops strategic litigation strategies, assesses policy alignment with social challenges, and proposes policy amendments or new policies.
Throughout their career, Mireia has demonstrated a commitment to social justice, empowerment, and advocating for the rights of individuals and communities.
Mireia Orra De Salsas obtained their Law Degree from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, studying from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Political Science and Public Administration Degree from the same university, studying from 2015 to 2018. In addition to their degrees, Mireia has obtained various certifications. In April 2021, they participated in the Hackathon: On són les dones a la universitat? organized by Joves Pel Futur Catalunya. In August 2020, they completed a course on África, Periodismo e Investigación: ¿cómo cambiar la narrativa? offered by La Puerta de África - Think-and-do Tank Juvenil. In July 2019, they attended the Summer ELSA Law School Coimbra on Human Rights organized by ELSA Coimbra. In March 2017, Mireia completed a course on Oratòria: una eina transversal at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Lastly, in July 2016, they participated in the Setmana del Parlament Universitari (SPUNI) organized by Parlament de Catalunya.
