Howard Crane

Howard Crane has over 18 years of work experience in the field of quality assurance and project management. Howard currently holds the position of Corporate Director of Quality at Etihad Rail since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Jacobs as a Programme Quality Assurance Manager for the Etihad Rail Project from 2020 to 2022. Before joining Jacobs, they worked at Crossrail Ltd, where they held multiple roles in quality assurance management for various railway system works contracts from 2010 to 2020. Howard also has experience as an Engineering Assurance Manager at the East London Line Project from 2008 to 2010. Howard started their career at Birse Metro Limited as a Project Assurance Manager and later worked as a Project Manager at Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd.

Howard Crane obtained a BEng (Hons) degree in Civil Engineering from Loughborough University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Chartered Engineer through the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in October 2004. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Quality Assurance Professional (CQAP) certification from The Chartered Quality Institute in June 2014. Howard Crane also achieved membership in the Association for Project Management in March 2009. Howard further obtained the Manager certification from CITB in November 2002, and most recently acquired the ISO 9001 Lead Auditor - Quality Certification from the International Register of Certificated Auditors in March 2020.
