Dr. Ahmad Yousef

Dr. Ahmad Yousef is a seasoned GIS expert and consultant currently serving as an Advisor/Expert GIS at Etihad Water and Electricity Company. With extensive experience in GIS, data management, and renewable energy projects, Dr. Yousef previously held the position of Geographic Information System Expert at the Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure in UAE, where responsibilities included building GIS systems and online applications. As an Adjunct Professor at American University of Sharjah, Dr. Yousef taught courses on computer applications and GIS in urban planning. Other roles include Senior GIS Specialist at Dii GmbH, researcher at the University of Freiburg, and GIS Trainer at Codematix, alongside earlier experience as a civil engineer. Dr. Yousef holds a Doctorate in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems from the University of Freiburg and has completed a specialized Big Data and Social Analytics course at MIT.
