Stefano Zambotti has a diverse range of work experience in the energy and sustainability sector. Stefano started their career as a Research Intern at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2015. Stefano then worked as a Research Assistant at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology and as a Researcher at Eurac Research, focusing on renewable energy and engineering systems. In 2019, they joined the Erasmus Centre for Data Analytics as an Expert in Smart Energy and Sustainability. Stefano also had experience working as an Expert at the International Energy Agency (IEA) and as a Member of the International Association for Energy Economics. Recently, they worked as a Lecturer at edX, teaching about the business implications of intelligent and integrated energy systems. Prior to this, they completed their Master's Degree in International Business and Development at Università degli Studi di Parma from 2012 to 2016. In 2007 to 2011, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Law from Università di Trento.
