Edgar Arenas Díaz

Edgar Arenas Díaz is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data engineering and data science. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at Etsy since April 2022, Edgar previously held the role of Senior Data Scientist at Wizeline, where the focus was on developing models for ETA prediction and text classification for transaction categorization. Edgar's earlier work at GE spanned roles as Staff Data Scientist and Computational Tools Developer, concentrating on predictive models for the aviation sector and software development for power generation. Edgar began the career as a Research Assistant at UNAM, applying evolutionary computation algorithms in biological sciences.
