Otto Heikkonen is a Systems Architect with extensive experience in embedded platforms, edge AI, robotics, and mechatronics. Otto has contributed to various projects, including the design of a semi-autonomous drone system as part of their MSc thesis at Tampere University and leading critical systems integration projects at Milrem Robotics. Previously, Otto held roles in project management at VR Group and GEA Bischoff Oy, demonstrating strong leadership in complex, large-scale industrial projects. Currently, Otto is pursuing a PhD in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at Tampere University, while also leading technical architecture and implementation strategies at Etteplan.
