Shawn Brown, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Shawn Brown, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources and IT. From 1991 to 1996, they were the Vice President of Training and Educational Services at Autoexec Microcomputer Training Center. From 1996 to 2007, they were employed at Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, where they held various roles such as Wireless Communications Analyst, Purchasing Manager, Section Manager of Recruitment and Events, Event Coordinator, and Senior Help Desk Technician. In 2007, they began working at AcctKnowledge Financial Staffing as a Staffing Manager, and in 2009, they worked at SearchEngine IT Staffing in the same capacity. In 2009, they also began working as a Technical Recruiter and Strategic Relationship Builder at Anspire Recruiting and Consulting. In 2006, they were an Incubator Leader at Ladies Who Launch in Tulsa. From 2010 to 2012, they were a HR Consultant and Small Business Champion at SyncTank Consulting, LLC. In 2012, they were the HR Director at Luxa Enterprises. Finally, from 2015 to present, they have been the Director of Shared Services at ETX Energy, LLC, where their responsibilities include oversight of IT/Acting CISO, Director of HR, and Facilities.

Shawn Brown holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, obtained between 1986 and 1991. In 2015, Brown earned their SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM and their Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Additionally, Brown holds a Certificate of Human Resources Management from the University of Tulsa Center for Management Development, as well as a Targeted Selection™ Trainer certification from Development Dimensions International.
