Alessandro Burini

Alessandro Burini has a diverse work experience in the field of remote sensing and scientific support. From 2017 to the present, they have been working at EUMETSAT as a Remote Sensing Scientist - Optical Imagery - FCI Team Leader, and previously as a Sentinel-3 Optical Calibration Scientist. At Moltek Consultants Ltd in 2016-2017, they worked as a Hyperspectral Sounding Product Scientific Support Consultant at EUMETSAT, where they focused on the analysis and maintenance of processing specifications and documentation. From 2009 to 2016, they worked at RHEA as a Calibration and Validation Expert Consultant at ESA, specializing in the prototype and design of tools, scientific support for calibration of optical sensors, and project management. Alessandro Burini also has experience as a Remote Sensing Engineer at Geo-K S.r.l. and obtained a PhD in Earth Observation from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" between 2005 and 2008.
