Copernicus Data Processing Systems Engineer at EUMETSAT

Eduardo Vega Lozano's work experience begins with their current position as a Data Processing System Engineer at EUMETSAT - Terma, starting in April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Indra from December 2018 to March 2021 as a Ground Segment AIVQ/Systems Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for validation procedures preparation and execution, technical analysis of results, and test data sets generation for the SEOSAT/INGENIO Ground Segment. Eduardo also oversaw the technical follow-up and coordination of processing chain subsystems with clients and subcontractors. Additionally, they developed and managed operational processors, including cross-validation activities. Before working at Indra, Eduardo had a role as a Collaboration with the Service of Innovation and Digital Production at Universidad de Salamanca from February 2014 to June 2014.

Eduardo Vega Lozano completed their education with a Master's degree in Space Science and Technology from the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. Eduardo pursued this degree in the Department of Applied Physics I from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Universidad de Salamanca. Eduardo studied Physics during their time at the university, from 2012 to 2017.
