Fernando J. Pereda

Data Processing Systems Engineering Team Leader at EUMETSAT

Fernando J. Pereda has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Fernando J. began their career at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2008, where they worked as a Software Developer for the SpaceFish project, designing and developing a ground station for autonomous vehicle monitoring and control. Fernando J. then transitioned to the role of Software Engineer for the SIRAMICOR program, where they developed a manoeuvring simulator for an autonomous vessel and created guidance and control algorithms for a small prototype.

In 2010, Pereda continued their work at Universidad Complutense de Madrid as a PhD student and Research Engineer for the NECSAVE program. Fernando J.'sresearch focused on autonomous control for fleets of autonomous vessels, specifically cooperative guidance, navigation, and control systems.

In 2011, Pereda joined GMV as a Project Engineer, where they worked until 2018. During this time, they gained experience managing projects and contributing to various engineering tasks.

Since 2018, Pereda has been employed at EUMETSAT. Fernando J. initially served as a Data Re-Processing Engineer before transitioning to their current position as Data Processing Systems Engineering Team Leader in May 2022.
