Guido Fracchia

Software Project Leader at EUMETSAT

Guido Fracchia's work experience begins in 2012 when they worked as a trainee at Pro S3 for one month. In 2020, they joined TERMA Group as a Software Engineering Consultant, where they developed spacecraft simulators under ESA's SIMULUS 6.2 environment and modeled space components using UML and MagicDraw. In the same year, they also started working at EUMETSAT as a Software Engineer, providing engineering expertise on application lifecycle automation for SATSIM and SCOS-2000 applications and implementing ALM libraries for Docker, Jenkins, GitLab, Nexus, and OpenStack. In 2023, they became a Software Project Leader at EUMETSAT.

Guido Fracchia completed their education in the field of engineering, specifically focusing on space and aerospace engineering. Guido obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino from 2009 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Space Engineering at Politecnico di Milano from 2014 to 2019. During their Master's program, they also studied at the University of Glasgow from 2017 to 2018, where they earned another Master's degree in Space Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Guido Fracchia received an Amateur radio license from the Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico in January 2015.
