Ricardo Del Pino, CSEP has a strong background in ground segment system engineering and software development. Ricardo started their career at Optimi in 2005 as a Software Developer before joining Indra Sistemas in 2006 as a Software Engineer. Ricardo transitioned into a System Engineer role in 2010 and then became a Ground Segment System Engineer in 2012. In 2015, Ricardo joined RHEA Group as a Ground Segment System and Interface Engineer, where they provided support for all system engineering activities of the Ground Segment for various missions operated by EUMETSAT. Ricardo then moved on to EUMETSAT in 2017, initially as a Copernicus Ground Segment System Engineer and is currently working as an EPS-Aeolus Ground Segment System Engineer.
Ricardo Del Pino, CSEP has a diverse education history with a focus on leadership and engineering. In 1997, they started their education journey at the Universidad de Málaga, where they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Telecommunications Engineering, which they completed in 2003.
In 2016, Del Pino enrolled in the MIT Professional Education program, where they pursued a Professional Certificate in System Engineering. Ricardo successfully completed the program in 2017, further enhancing their expertise in this field.
Most recently, Del Pino attended the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, from an unknown start date to 2022. During this time, they participated in the Executive Leadership Program, with a focus on Organizational Leadership.
In addition to their formal education, Del Pino has obtained various certifications to expand their professional skills. In 2017, they became a Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), awarded by INCOSE. Del Pino also completed the PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training in 2022, offered by AXELOS Global Best Practice.
In 2013, they acquired the IT Service Management Foundation (ISO/IEC 20000) certification from EXIN. Furthermore, Del Pino has sought additional knowledge in the fields of architecture, systems engineering, and aerospace engineering through certifications and training programs, including the Architecture & Systems Engineering: Models and Methods to Manage Complex Systems program from MIT Professional Education and the Introduction to Aerospace Engineering: Astronautics and Human Spaceflight course provided by edX.
Looking ahead, Del Pino has plans to further their education by pursuing a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification from AXELOS in 2023. Ricardo also aims to complete the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme offered by the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, in the same year.
