Salvatore Nocella

Spacecraft Operations Preparation Engineer at EUMETSAT

Salvatore Nocella has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Salvatore started their career as a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of dell'Aquila from 2003 to 2006. In 2007, they worked as a consultant at Nous Informatica and as a lecturer at the University degli Studi Roma Due - Tor Vergata. Salvatore then joined Telespazio as a Mission Planning and Operations Engineer, responsible for the Ground Mission Segment planning and scheduling for the Galileo/IOV project. In 2009, they moved to Telespazio VEGA Deutschland GmbH as a Spacecraft Operations Engineer, where they worked until 2017. Salvatore is currently employed at EUMETSAT as a Spacecraft Operations Preparation Engineer. Overall, Salvatore Nocella has a strong background in spacecraft operations and engineering.

Salvatore Nocella earned a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Operations Research, Combinatorial Optimization, and Integer Linear Programming from the Università degli Studi dell'Aquila. This degree was obtained between 2003 and 2006.
