Vinia Mattioli

Remote Sensing Scientist - Eps-sg Ice Cloud Imager Level 1 & 2 at EUMETSAT

Vinia Mattioli started their work experience in 2001 as a PHD student at the University of Perugia. After completing their PHD, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Perugia from 2005 to 2010, and then again from 2011 to 2012. In between their positions at the University of Perugia, they also held the position of Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" from 2010 to 2011. Vinia then worked as an External Consultant at ONERA from April to July 2012. Vinia then joined the University of Rome "La Sapienza" as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant from August 2012 to July 2013. From August 2013 to November 2016, they worked as the EPS-SG Microwave and Sub-millimetre Science Support at EUMETSAT, and later transitioned to the role of Remote Sensing Scientist - EPS-SG Ice Cloud Imager Level 1 & 2 at EUMETSAT from December 2016 onwards. Additionally, Vinia was a Visiting Scholar at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration from May 2003 to July 2004.

Vinia Mattioli obtained a Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universirty of Perugia in 2001. Vinia then pursued a PhD degree in Information Engineering from the University of Perugia, completing it in 2005.
