Johannes Rainer

Head Of Computational Metabolomics at Eurac Research

Johannes Rainer has had three notable work experiences. From 2009 to 2015, they worked as a Univ. Assistant and Junior Group Leader of the Applied Bioinformatics Group at the Division of Molecular Pathophysiology at Medizinische Universitaet Innsbruck. Their responsibilities included data analysis for the Gene Expression (Affymetrix) Core Facility. In 2015, they joined Eurac Research as the Head of Computational Metabolomics. Currently, since April 2020, they serve as a member of the Bioconductor Advisory Boards.

Johannes Rainer pursued their education at Technische Universität Graz, where they completed their Master's Degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from 1996 to 2003. Johannes further advanced their academic journey at the same institution and received a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from 2003 to 2007.
