Mohamed S. Sarhan is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Università di Trento since November 2022 and a Visiting Researcher at Eurac Research since October 2019. Previously, Mohamed served as a Research Assistant at the Environmental Studies and Research Unit (ESRU) from January 2014 to November 2022 and completed a research internship as an MSc student at the Leibniz-Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ) in late 2014. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Ancient DNA and Mummies from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (2021-2023) and another PhD in Microbiology, Agronomy, and Plant-microbe interactions from Universität Rostock (2019-2020). Additionally, Mohamed holds a Master's degree in Plant Protection and Integrated Pest Management from Libera Università Mediterranea 'Jean Monnet' (2016-2017), a Master's degree in Soil Microbiology from Cairo University (2014-2016), and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Cairo University (2009-2013).
