Piero Campalani is a Senior Researcher at Eurac Research since April 2021, focusing on the impacts and risks of Natural Hazards in mountainous regions under non-stationary conditions, including Climate Change. Previously, Piero served as a Development Engineer at Ebotlution Systems S.L., developing innovative solutions for mine clearance in Humanitarian Demining. Piero has experience as a PostDoc at Jacobs University Bremen, where contributions included web-based access and analysis of geo-images and participation in defining spatio-temporal Coordinate Reference Systems. Piero also completed a PhD internship at MEEO S.r.l., working on aerosol optical thickness and air quality datasets. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Geostatistics/Remote Sensing, a Master's degree in Telecommunication Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering, all from Università degli Studi di Ferrara.
