Thomas Garman is a dual Bachelor of Science candidate in Computer Science and Neuroscience at the University of Maryland, expected to graduate in 2024. Thomas gained experience as a Software Engineer Intern at POLITICO, where program development for geo-political conflict tracking involved the programming frameworks utilized by POLITICO PRO software. As a Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Neurodevelopment of Reading and Language, Thomas contributed to the testing of bio-physical models related to EEG components and developed programming solutions in Python and MATLAB. Additionally, as a Summer Intern at Fundação Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Thomas worked under the foundation's CEO, participating in public policy research and seminar preparations.
