Vanessa Sussman

Vanessa Sussman has extensive experience in marketing and communications. Vanessa is currently the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Eurasia Group since May 2023. Prior to that, they were the Head of Communications for US Private Markets at Nuveen from December 2020 to May 2023. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Morningstar as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Growth and Strategy. Before joining Morningstar, Vanessa worked as a Marketing and Communications Consultant at V dot Consulting from 2009 to 2016. Vanessa also served as the Managing Director at Group SJR from 2006 to 2009, and as the Manager of Corporate Relations at the Council of the Americas from 2004 to 2006. In addition, they worked as the Director of International Development at Foreign Policy from 2000 to 2004. Vanessa started their career at the U.S. Department of State as an Associate, where they worked with Nancy Soderberg from May 2000 to September 2000. Prior to that, they served as the International Projects Director at The Washington Times from October 1997 to September 1999.

Vanessa Sussman has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Vanessa also holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
