Giulia Zarpellon

Giulia Zarpellon is an accomplished data scientist currently working at Eurecat - Technology Centre of Catalonia since July 2023. Prior to this role, Zarpellon served as a data scientist at the University of California, Berkeley from February 2023 to May 2023, contributing to the Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science and Environment. Zarpellon's experience includes a position as a Data Science Research Fellow at UN Global Pulse, where contributions were made to multidisciplinary initiatives for humanitarian response. Zarpellon has also held the role of AI Scientist at the Vector Institute, focusing on novel deep learning models and optimization. Previous roles include teaching assistance at Polytechnique Montréal, a research internship at IBM Analytics, and a consultant internship at Business Integration Partners. Zarpellon holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Polytechnique Montréal, as well as master's and bachelor's degrees in Mathematics from Università degli Studi di Padova.
