Jean-Paul Laumond

Jean-Paul Laumond, IEEE Fellow, is a pioneer of robot motion planning. In 2000, he founded Kineo CAM, a spin-off company from LAAS-CNRS devoted to develop and market motion planning technology. Kineo CAM was acquired by Siemens in 2012. Jean-Paul was awarded the IEEE-IFR prize for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Robotics and Automation in 2016. He is a member of the French Academy of Sciences and the French Academy of Technologies.
