Alkiviadis Papathanakos

Alkiviadis Papathanakos is an experienced professional in the financial sector, currently serving as the Head of Cards Antifraud Systems and Development Division at Eurobank since June 2025. Prior to this role, Alkiviadis was the Head of Payments and Anti Frauds at snappi, where responsibilities included coordinating departments and developing payment and anti-fraud policies. From January 2010 to June 2023, Alkiviadis held various positions at Alpha Bank, including Senior Operations Manager in the Cybersecurity Division, focusing on card fraud monitoring and analysis, and Senior Fraud Specialist overseeing anti-fraud systems for retail banking products. Early career experience includes roles at Manpower and OTE Group Inc., with a strong foundation in processing and marketing. Alkiviadis holds two Master of Science degrees in Banking and Finance and Applied Economics and Finance from the Open University of Cyprus and the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, respectively.
