Bart Vandersmissen

Bart Vandersmissen is currently the Head of Programme and SESAR Technical Advisor at EUROCONTROL, where responsibilities include leading the PHOENIX program, which focuses on establishing a new Operations Room and Data Centre in a net-zero building, as well as advising MUAC on SESAR initiatives and air traffic control innovations. Prior to this role, Bart Vandersmissen served at Eurocontrol MUAC for over three decades, holding various significant positions such as Head of ATM Cooperations and Technology, Head of Change Management, and Head of Unit ATS, involving oversight of air traffic management systems and various engineering responsibilities. Education was completed at KU Leuven with a Master's degree in Civil Engineering in Computer Sciences.
