Rainer Koelle

Rainer Koelle has been with EUROCONTROL since April 2005, holding the positions of Head of Operational ANS Performance Service and Senior ATM Performance Expert, contributing to the development and monitoring of performance schemes. Additionally, Rainer serves as Senior Team Leader for CoE ATM Security, focusing on best practices and security management in air traffic management (ATM), and has acted as the ERRIDS Project Manager, overseeing the technical development of the ERRIDS demonstrator. Previous roles include Sub-Work Package Manager for SESAR SWP16.02 and focal point for the SAFEE project. Rainer's earlier career included service with the German Air Force as a Liaison Officer and various military assignments. Rainer holds a PhD in Situation Management from Lancaster University and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Helmut-Schmidt-Universität.
