Nico Roicke

Nico Roicke has extensive work experience in the field of digital design and creative direction. From November 2009 to December 2020, they worked as an Art & Creative Director for various agencies and clients, including Meiré und Meiré, Goldener Westen, Studio B12, White Void, Trust, and SNK. During this time, they collaborated with notable organizations such as BuzzFeed, Charité Berlin, European Space Agency (ESA), and Netflix, among others. Nico also worked as a Motion Designer at Goldener Westen in 2011 and as an Editor-in-chief for the German HP TouchPad Magazine "Pivot" at Agora9 from July 2011 to October 2011. Additionally, they have experience as a writer, videopodcaster, and temporary lecturer at Fachhochschule Potsdam. Nico co-published and wrote for Jackpot Baby! Fanzine from September 2001 to September 2008. Nico's earlier work experience includes roles such as News Assistant at Deutsche Welle, Freelance Editor at ARD digital, and Assistant at the music department of RadioEINS. Currently, they work as a Creative Director at Europace AG.

Nico Roicke completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in European Media Studies from the University of Potsdam, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Nico then pursued further education at Université Paris Nanterre in 2004 and 2005, focusing on Sciences de l'information et de la communication (Infocom). From 2007 to 2009, Nico Roicke undertook a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication Design / Digital Media from Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London.
