EUROPEAN ALUMINIUM
Konstantinos Kollias is an accomplished professional in environmental engineering and geology with extensive experience in project management and research. Currently serving as an Innovation Project Manager at EUROPEAN ALUMINIUM since January 2021, Kollias previously held roles in the same organization as an Innovation Project Officer. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher position at the Laboratory of Metallurgy, NTUA, where Kollias managed R&D projects and conducted research on mining's environmental impacts. Additional roles encompass a project geologist for the Hellenic Ministry of Rural Development & Food, a sales representative at Hellas On Line, and service as an infantry soldier in the Hellenic Army. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering Technology from the National Technical University of Athens and master's and bachelor's degrees in Applied Environmental Geology and Geology and Geoenvironment, respectively.

Through environmental and technical expertise, economic and statistical analysis, scientific research, education and sharing of best practices, public affairs and communication activities, it aims to promote aluminium's contribution to sustainable development whilst maintaining and improving the image of the industry, of the material and of its applications.
