EUROPEAN ALUMINIUM
Sanaa Zinbi is currently serving as a Sustainability Officer and Sustainability & Industry Data Officer at European Aluminium since March 2023. Prior experience includes working as a Master Thesis Student at VITO from August 2021 to September 2022, where Sanaa developed a new method in Python for distinguishing Phoenix palm trees in Alicante, Spain, utilizing Geographic Object-based image analysis. Prior to that, Sanaa was a Student Ambassador at Direct Result Marketing from July 2018 to October 2019. Sanaa holds a Master of Science in Bioscience Engineering from KU Leuven, obtained in September 2022, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Université libre de Bruxelles, completed in June 2020.

EUROPEAN ALUMINIUM represents the aluminium industry in Europe, encompassing primary aluminium producers, downstream manufacturers, producers of recycled aluminium and national aluminium associations. Through environmental and technical expertise, economic and statistical analysis, scientific research, education and sharing of best practices, public affairs and communication activities, it aims to promote aluminium's contribution to sustainable development whilst maintaining and improving the image of the industry, of the material and of its applications.
