Joél Shadbolt

Joél Shadbolt has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in different companies. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Frontend Web Developer for a year before becoming a Java Developer at esure in 2012. At esure, they developed and maintained middle-tier/back-end applications and rating engines, as well as created several in-house desktop applications/plugins for automation and efficiency.

In 2013, Joél joined MS Amlin as a Senior Java Developer, where they played a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge technology for the company. Joél was involved in all stages of software development, from analysis to testing and production delivery.

After leaving MS Amlin in 2016, Joél worked briefly as a Senior Engineer at Rightmove in 2017 before taking on the role of Software Engineering Team Lead at EBRD in 2018. In this position, they led a team of engineers and also served as a Programme Lead Engineer.

In 2019, Joél started their own company, Joel Shadbolt Ltd, where they serve as a Director.

Joél Shadbolt completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Computer Network Management & Design from the University of Portsmouth, from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, Joél has a certification in Oracle PL/SQL Programming: Hands-On from Learning Tree, although the specific date of completion is not provided.
