Karen Brutyan is an experienced professional currently serving as the First Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Finance since May 2018 and as the First Deputy Chairman at the State Revenue Committee of Armenia since March 2016. Additionally, Karen Brutyan holds the position of Adviser to the Head of the State Revenue Committee and has been a Public Procurement Expert with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development since February 2013. In the academic field, Karen Brutyan lectures on Public Procurement at the Public Administration Academy. Past roles include serving as an Adviser to the Prosecutor General of Armenia and Team Leader for various international projects, including those with the World Bank Group and the OECD. Karen Brutyan earned a Ph.D. in Public Expenditure Management from the Institute of Economic Research of the RoA MoF and a degree in State Regulation of Economy from Yerevan State Economic University.
