William Roos

William Roos currently serves as the Assistant Secretary for Multilateral, Development and Trade Affairs at the Direction générale du Trésor (French Treasury) since March 2021, where responsibilities include co-chairing the G20 International Financial Architecture working group and the Paris Club on Development Affairs. Additionally, William Roos is the Director for France on the Board of Directors at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, a position held since September 2019. Previous roles include Economic Counsellor at the Embassy of France in South Africa, and various positions at the Direction générale du Trésor from 2004 to 2016, focusing on macroeconomic policies and financial analysis. Early career experience includes roles at INSEE and the Institut de la statistique et des études économique. William Roos holds a Master's degree in industrial economics from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne and has a background in statistics and economics from ENSAE and ENSAI.
