Helmut Ettl

Helmut Ettl has extensive experience in financial supervision and regulation, currently serving as Executive Director at FMA Finanzmarktaufsicht Österreich since 2008. In addition, Ettl holds multiple leadership roles at the European Banking Authority, including Vice Chairperson and Member of the Board of Supervisors, while also co-chairing the Advisory Committee on Proportionality and participating as a member of the Management Board. Since November 2013, Ettl has been a Member of the Supervisory Board at the European Central Bank and has been part of the General Board of the European Systemic Risk Board since January 2011. Previously, Ettl was a Member of the Committee of European Banking Supervisors from February 2008 to December 2010 and worked at Oesterreichische Nationalbank from September 1995 to February 2008. Educationally, Ettl holds a Master's degree in Economics from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz.
