Deputy Director - Flight Operations at European Cargo

Stephen Geeves has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Stephen is currently working at European Cargo as the Deputy Director - Flight Operations, responsible for personnel management of over 60 pilots and project management tasks. Additionally, they hold the position of Training Captain at the same company. Previously, Stephen has gained experience as a Captain A340-600 at European Cargo, where they operated across Europe, Asia, and America. Before joining European Cargo, they worked as the Director at TedAir Aviation Consultancy. Stephen has also served as a Pilot Assessor at SelectMyTalent, where they evaluated and recruited pilots into aviation employment. Prior to that, they held various roles at AirTanker, including Captain A330 and First Officer A330. Stephen was also seconded to SAS Ireland as Captain A320 for a period of six months. Stephen began their career at Monarch Airlines as a First Officer on A320 and A330 aircraft, handling European schedules and long-haul charters. Throughout their career, Stephen has gained experience in different flight operations, project management, personnel management, and recruitment processes.

Stephen Geeves has a diverse education history in the field of aviation. In 2005, they attended Bournemouth Commercial Flight Training, where they studied ATPL Groundschool. Stephen later enrolled at Oxford Aviation Training in 2005 and completed the Airline/Commercial/Professional Pilot and Flight Crew program before graduating in 2006.

In 2006, Stephen pursued further education at CTC Aviation Training, where they completed the Airline Qualification Course. Stephen then joined Andrewsfield Aviation in 2015 and obtained the Class Rating Instructor degree.

Stephen also attended the Central Gliding School - CFS wing in 2012, where they achieved the A2 Qualified Gliding Instructor (QGI) qualification.

Their most recent educational endeavor began in 2022 at the JAA Training Organization, where they are currently studying EASA Air Ops Management. Additionally, Stephen has obtained several certifications, including a Certificate of Achievement from JAA Training Organisation in July 2022, an ATPL(A) from the Civil Aviation Authority in June 2021, and an ATPL(A) from the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency in January 2021. Stephen also obtained a Class Rating Instructor (SEP) qualification from the Civil Aviation Authority in April 2016 and an SFI A320/A330/350/A340 certification from the Civil Aviation Authority in February 2021.
