Afonso Vaz

Afonso Vaz has extensive experience in IT project management and software development, currently serving as Team Lead in IT Application Development and previously as IT Project Manager at the European Central Bank since June 2018. Prior to this role, Afonso worked as an IT Project Manager and Development Lead at Banco de Portugal from September 2013 to June 2018. Additional experience includes a position as Senior Software Developer at BUY IT NOW LTD and as Service Coordinator at Unidade FCCN. Afonso started a career as a Product Management Consultant at Deloitte. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Communication Networks Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from Instituto Superior Técnico, along with certifications as a Professional Scrum Master and Project Management Professional.
