Alessandro Santoni is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in credit risk, financial crisis management, and equity research. Currently serving as the Head of Credit Risk and AQR FR1-Onsite Inspection at the European Central Bank since July 2023, Alessandro is enhancing the OSICredit application and managing inspection teams. Previously, Alessandro held key positions at the International Monetary Fund as Mission Chief TA on Bank Restructuring and Resolution, and at the European Central Bank, focusing on market and IT risk inspections. Alessandro's background includes leadership roles at Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Goldman Sachs, and ABN AMRO Bank N.V., along with military service as an Army Officer at NATO. Educational achievements include an Executive MBA and a PhD in Behavioral Finance from prestigious institutions.
